Scorpion Security Products is growing again! We are looking for a motivated, driven, dedicated Warehouse Associate – 1 to join our ever-growing distribution team here at our Vestal, NY headquarters. The ideal candidate will be a great fit for someone who is hard working and has attention to detail to fit into our fast-paced work atmosphere. Scorpion looks to hire someone who will grow with us and with the company as we scale the company for further expansion.
Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in product
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
- Assist in counting of physical inventory
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Wear the proper safety equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations
Physical Demands + Abilities:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
Other Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred
- Use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Fed Ex/UPS Shipping management (or similar program)
- Forklift certification and warehouse equipment (pallet jack, etc)

The SSP products support our customers to reduce cost and increase revenue through three key components: innovation, world-class engineering and design expertise, and high-quality products, services and support.
The Sales team is focused on acquiring and scaling new customer distribution channels, growing existing customer business opportunities, and expanding our global partnerships. National Sales Directors are individual contributors who develop a strategic plan and hunt across the domestic territory and/or assigned target customer channels.
SSP is looking for an experienced National Sales Director who will use his/her experience selling product solutions to successfully grow and scale domestic revenues. He/she should have a passion for customer acquisition, an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless focus on customers. This individual must be able to think strategically, uncover the business needs of new clients and have a proven ability to close deals that develop high growth partnerships. Candidates need a strong understanding of retail, security solutions and customer relationship management. Must have a hunter’s mentality focused on converting customers and developing new relationships. They must possess industry contacts and have previously worked in an organization where they had sales/business development responsibilities in new label acquisition. This position will carry an annual revenue goal and a core focus of customer channel growth.
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
Travel: As needed to meet with targeted customers, events and to HQ
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver net-new revenue through sales of the portfolio to new customer channels
- Develop high-level relationships with your customers and serve as a trusted consultant to optimize their security and merchandising needs.
- Attend key industry events to represent the brand and products to new and existing customers
- Create mid-term and long-term account plans to grow the product portfolio penetration across multiple retail industry verticals.
- Be the voice of the customer and communicate market trends and industry shifts, including implications to our products teams.
- Act as an internal champion for customer channel prioritization and support across key HQ stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of successful experience selling product solutions resulting in growth/scale of domestic revenues, experience in retail or selling products in retail or similar industries
- Strategic mindset on building business plans, sales forecasts and targeted customer acquisition strategies
- Hunters mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience developing business from net-new customers and prospecting
- Successful internal and external relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
- Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role is expected to be comprised of a base salary plus a % commissions based on targeted metrics. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401(k), Paid Time Off.
